     This has been an issue of deep concern for me, as it probably has been for many others.  Please, be sure to share this with anyone you know who may need financial assistance paying for gender affirming surgeries.

     There are a number of resources available to help transgender individuals pay for gender-affirming surgeries. These resources include:
  •  Point of Pride's Annual Transgender Surgery Fund: This scholarship-like program provides direct financial assistance to trans folks who cannot afford their gender-affirming surgery.
  •     Krysallis Anne Hembrough Legacy Fund: This fund covers 50% of the medical fees associated with gender-affirming surgery, with recipients required to match each dollar of funds received with a dollar of their own money or other money raised by the recipient.
  •     Black Trans Men Top Surgery Grant: This grant provides financial assistance to Black trans men for top surgery.
  •     Trans Lifeline: This organization provides a variety of resources, including grants and funding for gender-affirming surgery.
  •     Trans Health Project: This organization provides financial aid for transgender surgeries, as well as resources for challenging insurance denials and exclusions.
  • Jim Collins Foundation:  They offer grants to help cover the cost of gender-affirming surgeries.
  • Genderbands:  These grants are specifically designed to help transgender individuals with the costs associated with transitioning.
  • TransMission:  This organization provides financial assistance for gender-affirming surgeries
    It is important to note that the availability of these resources may vary depending on the individual's location and circumstances. It is always best to consult with a healthcare professional or social worker to determine the best options for financial assistance.

Blessed Are the Builders: A Call to Heal the Faith of Our LGBTQ+ Family

“ If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble...” Christ gave a stark warning of retribution and, yet, churches, filled with self-righteous pseudo-Christians, weaponize scripture like stone, bruising souls, rather than healing them, in the name of holiness. The Perfect Storm

       Several years ago, my oldest daughter got engaged to be married.  One evening, she called me so that her fiance could properly ask the father of the bride-to-be for permission to marry his intended.  That impressed me!  I thought good breeding was a thing of the past.  It didn't matter to me that he's Mexican-American in the truest sense (meaning he was born in Mexico, immigrated to the U.S. at the age of five, and is a legally naturalized American citizen).  What mattered is that he and my daughter were, and are still, in love.  I know that according to the ultra-liberal mindset, I'm supposed to be a racist because I'm White.  But, racism isn't a White problem; it's a human problem.  I think I'll write a post in the future covering nonsensical ideologies such as the Liberal mindset, the Conservative mindset, binary genderism, etc...  For now, however, I digress.     In the months that followed, my da...
