Rehashing the Argument

Several years ago, I wrote in a different blog.  At that time, knowledge of my true gender identity was blocked from my conscious mind due to childhood events.  (Said events can be read about in earlier installments in this blog.)  At the time, I was a staunch Conservative.  I wouldn't even consider the veracity of any policies that even leaned a little bit to the Left.  What I didn't realize at the time was the impact such a mindset could potentially have on the liberties of my fellow Americans who saw things in a different light.  Every Democrat I know has pretty much the same mindset concerning leftist ideology.  I see these mindsets growing further and further apart all the time.  As they do, we see America's economic advantage fade, and personal liberty and individual freedom fall by the wayside.  Our economic advantage began fading in 1971, when Pres. Richard M. Nixon (R) took us off of the Gold Standard.  He did this to appease Democrats, hoping to evade impeachment in the Watergate fiasco.  It didn't work out for him, but it did for the Democrat Party which had long wanted to better control the U.S. economy.  With the U.S. dollar no longer backed by gold, the economy of the United States could be made to experience the same inflationary rates as our European and Asian counterparts.  Since then, both parties have been equally guilty of manipulating America's economy.  The constitutionality of the federal government's involvement in the economy's well-being doesn't exist.  But, FDR made it en vogue to inject the fed's heavy hand in the market, undoing the boom of a free market.  By the way, experts have said that if Roosevelt had taken a minimalist approach of government action during the Great Depression, the economy would have rebounded much more quickly.  In other words, you can thank the federal government for the vast majority of suffering experienced in the 1930's.

So, why am I writing about politics in a trans advocate blog?  Because, once again, politicians have taken action, on both "sides", to legislate their vision of morality.  But, legislation in this matter is actually unconstitutional... ON EITHER SIDE.  There is no matter of morality in which the Constitution allows federal government involvement.  This isn't even a matter of morality.  Everyone would know that IF they would look into the various studies about transgenderism.  If the federal government was put in it's place on the matter, this would be dealt with on the state level.  Those states in which Republicans have enacted anti-trans laws could then be more easily dealt with.  They would cry "states rights", but they would be wrong.  With the American Psychological Association's study results saying that transgenderism is a state of being, and that transitioning is a necessary step for many transgender people to find happiness.  That means every transition journey is a matter of pursuing happiness, which is a constitutionally protected act on the part of every transgender person who undergoes any level, any amount of transition - whether it be HRT, surgery, or legally... or any combination.  I haven't heard of one case going before the courts in which it was argued to be within our rights, under the Constitution.  If it was, and we're still enduring these bans, somebody needs to be fired from their cushy attorney job.

I'm now 63 years old.  At this point in a person's life, they face the reality that they may not have a lot of time left.  I would like to be able to look ahead and have assurance that before I leave this life, I can look forward to being told that I, and others like myself, are now free to be ourselves under and with the full protection of the law.  This shouldn't even be an issue!  We live in the age of information.  So, why the hell is the ignorance of last century still so damned prevalent?  For your education, I'm going to include links to information that could help spread enlightenment.
