We Gotta Fight for Our Right (to be Trans)

In the 80's, the Beastie Boys were telling young people they had to fight for their right to party.  Here we are, about 40 years later, and nobody's really concerned about their right to party.  However, there is a supposedly protected class of people (transgenders) who have to fight for their right to exist... to be trans.  We shouldn't have to fight for this right, but self-important people (Donald Trump, Nancy Mace, Marjorie Taylor Greene, etc...) are trying to wipe us out of existence.  I mean... they're not trying to out-and-out murder us, but they might as well be.  After all, if your actions result in the deaths of others, are you not supposedly responsible for their deaths?

How many times has it got to be said that if psychologists are saying there's no mental illness involved, that our sense of self simply doesn't match our bodies, that it's a state of being and can be treated through transition, why are they arguing the point if not in effort to stop our existence?  How is this not a form of genocide?

And why have I not heard of anyone arguing in front of the U.S. Supreme Court for the right of transgender people in America to be protected as we exercise our right to pursue happiness?  Also, if the American Medical Association has given it's endorsement to medical and surgical transition...  Again, why is there an argument?

There are multiple instances of dereliction of duty at play here!  Politicians who want to make a minority group of people disappear from existence, lawyers not presenting the appropriate arguments, judges and justices not issuing cease and desist orders...  Why is this happening?

Transgender people who detransition do so for the same reason that some transgender people commit suicide.  That reason is primarily a lack of support.  There should be no lack of support.  The law should protect and support the transgender community in the exact same way that it protects and supports other marginalized groups.  Again... dereliction of duty!

    Somebody needs to step up!
